FAQs
Questions We Get Asked Before Every Project
Straight answers on cost, timelines, process, tech stack, and how we work — the things most clients ask in the first call. If your question isn't here, just ask us directly.
We build mobile apps (React Native, Flutter — iOS and Android), e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, custom marketplaces), AI systems (chatbots, agents, automation pipelines), SaaS products (multi-tenant platforms, subscription management, admin dashboards), web applications (React, Next.js), and blockchain solutions (smart contracts, dApps on Ethereum and Solana). We've shipped 163+ products for startups, fintech companies, healthcare providers, and enterprises across the US, UK, Middle East, and India.
Cost depends on three things: scope (number of features and screens), complexity (simple CRUD vs. real-time sync, AI integration, or payment processing), and engagement model (fixed price vs. dedicated team). We don't publish price ranges because the same 'mobile app' request can span from a focused MVP to a platform with 50+ backend services — and quoting without context helps no one. Visit our Pricing page for engagement model details, or book a free consultation. We'll give you a realistic estimate within 48 hours of understanding your requirements.
Discovery first — we spend the first week mapping your business goals, user flows, and technical constraints before touching code. Then two-week agile sprints with a live demo at the end of each. You have a shared Jira board from day one and can see every task in real time. Weekly video calls with the engineering team (not a project manager relaying messages). QA runs in parallel with development, not at the end. Launch includes CI/CD pipeline setup, monitoring, and a staged rollout. Post-launch, we monitor for 30 days and address anything that comes up.
A focused MVP — one platform, core user flows, no complex integrations — typically takes 8–12 weeks. A full-featured mobile app with backend, admin panel, and third-party integrations takes 16–24 weeks. E-commerce stores built on Shopify or WooCommerce usually take 4–10 weeks depending on custom features. Enterprise platforms and AI systems vary widely. We scope every project during discovery and give you a timeline you can hold us to before work begins.
Both. Design is part of our standard process — not a separate engagement. We do user research, wireframing, interactive prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design in Figma before development starts. You approve designs before we build. If you already have designs, we can work with your Figma files. We've worked with well-established design systems (Material Design, Apple HIG, custom brand systems) and built our own from scratch.
For mobile: React Native (New Architecture) and Flutter (Impeller engine). For web: React 19, Next.js 16, TypeScript. For backend: Node.js 24 LTS, Python (FastAPI, Django), PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis. For cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP — with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform for infrastructure. For AI: OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source models (LLaMA, Mistral) depending on data privacy requirements. For blockchain: Solidity on Ethereum, Rust on Solana. We choose the stack that fits the problem — not the one that's easiest for us.
Yes, e-commerce is one of our core verticals. For Shopify, we build custom themes (Liquid), custom apps (Node.js or Remix), Shopify Plus flows, and multi-currency storefronts. For WooCommerce, we build custom plugins, performance-optimised WordPress setups, and headless storefronts using Next.js with WooCommerce's REST API. We also build custom marketplaces from scratch when Shopify or WooCommerce aren't the right fit — typically when you need multi-vendor functionality, complex pricing rules, or industry-specific workflows.
SaaS is one of the two most common project types we handle (the other is mobile apps). We've built multi-tenant SaaS platforms with role-based access, subscription billing (Stripe), in-app analytics, and white-label capabilities. For MVPs, we use a specific approach: identify the single core workflow that validates your hypothesis, build only that, and ship. No feature bloat. The codebase is set up from day one to scale — not rewritten when you get traction.
Launch is not the end — it's when the real questions start. We offer post-launch support packages that include 24/7 uptime monitoring, bug fixes, security patches, dependency updates, and feature development. For the first 30 days after launch, we monitor closely regardless of support plan. Most of our clients are on retainer after project delivery — it's easier to maintain a product with the team that built it.
Security is built in from the architecture phase — not added at the end. For web apps: OWASP Top 10 mitigation, secure authentication (JWT, OAuth2, MFA), input validation, encrypted storage, rate limiting, and CORS policies. For mobile: secure keystore usage, certificate pinning, obfuscation. For healthcare clients: HIPAA-compliant data handling, audit logging, and encrypted PHI storage. For fintech: PCI DSS-aware architecture. All projects include NDA from day one, and all code and data transfer to you on delivery.
Yes, and this is more common than you'd think. We integrate into your existing workflow — your Jira, your Slack, your git conventions, your code review process. We can work as a specialist team handling a specific module (e.g., building the mobile app while your team handles the web) or as capacity extension when you need to move faster. We're also experienced with legacy codebases and API integration — you don't need a greenfield project for us to add value.
Yes. Enterprise clients have different requirements: SSO integration, audit logging, SLA commitments, compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2 readiness, ISO 27001 alignment), complex permission systems, and integrations with existing ERP/CRM/HR systems. We've built custom ERPs, analytics dashboards, workflow automation platforms, and internal tools for enterprise clients in fintech, healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing. The difference from a startup project is upfront architecture planning and more formal documentation.
Yes, though we're selective about blockchain projects — we only take them when the use case genuinely benefits from decentralisation, not as a marketing exercise. We build smart contracts in Solidity (Ethereum, Polygon) and Rust (Solana), run formal audits before deployment, and have built NFT marketplaces, DeFi protocols, and on-chain loyalty systems. We also build Web3 frontends (React + ethers.js or web3.js) and wallet integrations (MetaMask, WalletConnect, Phantom).
Fixed price works when scope is well-defined and unlikely to change — typically a v1 product with a clear feature list. You pay a set amount, we deliver what was specified. Changes to scope are handled as change orders. Dedicated team works when scope will evolve — ongoing product development, startups building iteratively, or when you need to move fast and adapt. You pay for the team's time monthly, with full control over priorities. Most of our long-term clients start on fixed price (first version) and move to dedicated team (ongoing development). See our Pricing page for a full comparison.
Book a free consultation through our Contact page. Come with a rough idea — you don't need a spec document. We'll ask the right questions: what problem are you solving, who are your users, what's your timeline, what's your budget range. Within 48 hours of that call, we'll send a scope outline and rough estimate. If it looks right, we kick off with a paid discovery sprint (typically one week) that produces a technical spec, architecture diagram, and detailed project plan. That becomes the foundation for the full engagement.
