The Challenge
the client's analysts were spending the first three days of every month manually pulling data from 20+ disconnected systems — ERP, CRM, HR platforms, marketing tools — copying it into spreadsheets, and cleaning it by hand before any actual analysis could begin. By the time reports reached executives, the data was 5 days old. Leadership was making million-dollar decisions on stale numbers, and nobody had a clear picture of which business units were actually profitable.
Our Solution
We built ETL pipelines with Apache Airflow that pull from all 20+ sources on configurable schedules, normalizing data into a PostgreSQL data warehouse with Redis caching for sub-second dashboard loads. The React frontend with Material UI gives each department a drag-and-drop dashboard builder — finance, operations, and marketing don't share a layout because their KPIs are different. We kept Power BI and Tableau connectors for teams already skilled in those tools rather than forcing a migration. ML anomaly detection runs continuously and surfaces unusual patterns — a revenue dip or inventory spike — before they escalate. Automated report generation runs overnight and delivers to inboxes by 7am, so executives start their day with current data.
